Because of our love of the ocean, we will not stand for the continued exploitation of the oceans through over-fishing and widespread destruction of marine habitats.
For centuries, the ocean was the primary life source for all Maldivian families. Fishing was a key industry and hardworking, prosperous fishermen were made leaders in their communities.
However, rising sea temperatures in recent years resulted in less catch and more idle fishermen in the country. We have also seen over 24 countries closing their fisheries due to endangering sea cucumber species. Our solution to these environmental challenges is to introduce mariculture as an ethical and sustainable way to meet the demand for quality seafood around the world.
From harvest to home, we are conscious of our environmental impact and work to reduce them through science and innovation. We believe in meeting the needs of today, without sacrificing the needs of future generations.
We developed an organic feed that is non-toxic to the oceans.
We reuse our plastics in the nurseries raceways.
For every tree we uproot to make space for our facilities, we plant 2 trees to mitigate our environmental impact.
Our lagoons allow ample room for each sea cucumber to grow in a healthy manner.
